Jamie and Alex’s love story unfolded into a remarkable wedding celebration this past January! As their dedicated wedding coordinator, it was an absolute pleasure to help bring their vision to life and execute a day that perfectly reflects their unique story and personalities. We’re swooning all over again thinking about the enchanting details of their special day.
It’s clear to see that no detail was missed by Jamie during the planning process which allowed Kim with Kimbrali Photography to capture some seriously magic detail shots during prep! We have all agreed that Jamie has the most beautiful smile and it couldn’t be wiped off her face once she put her wedding dress on. She was a true vision and could not have picked a more perfect dress from Town and Country Bridal! The bridesmaids started their day in matching pajamas and quickly transformed into the most beautiful bridesmaids dress – blue is a staple around here, so we were completely on board with these! We also have to mention Mrs. Cherie’s Mother of the Bride dress, it was seriously stunning and one of our favorites to date! We love a fashionista mom!
The love of a dad for his daughter is always so apparent on wedding days. The father/daughter first look is usually the queue to break out the tissues (for us too!). This is without a doubt one of our favorite moments on wedding days. We purposely structure the wedding day timeline so this moment can move a little slower than the rest of the day allowing dad a few minutes to soak in his baby girl. This sweet moment was shared between Jamie and her dad before heading to church for the ceremony.
Set against the backdrop of a Louisiana winter day, Jamie and Alex’s wedding contained so much pure sweetness and joy. Jamie and Alex chose not to see each other until they were at the altar – they were both so excited and filled with butterflies looking forward to that moment. The air was filled with anticipation and excitement, as their loved ones gathered to celebrate their union at St. Bernard in Breaux Bridge. They said “I do” in front of their closest family and friends with a ceremony filled with shared laughs and a few happy tears.
Guests then made their way to Oakbourne Country Club for the reception, which was a true celebration! The venue was filled with an abundance of florals, adding a touch of elegance and romance to the entire ambiance. We loved the personal touches that they included such as the quilt guest sign in and golf ball themed groom’s table – just look at those golf cake balls from Piece of Cake! We always encourage our couples to find ways to include touches that tell the story of who they are and these components did a great job of that!
